DES MOINES – By the narrowest of margins, a team of four Montezuma High School students finished as runner-up in the Iowa State Personal Finance Challenge.
Kennen Roadcap, Maguire De Jong, Colton Benson and Jack Erselius were the students.
Teacher Kevin Gartman said it took a split decision tiebraker to decide the state championship.
A total of 16 qualifying teams from around the state competed.
