Five Bravettes honored on all-SICL teams

Shateah Wetering was an all-SICL unanimous first team pick. (File).

Montezuma had five players honored on the all-SICL girls basketball teams that were announced last week.

Shateah Wetering and Elise Boulton were on the first team, with Wetering a unanimous choice by the league’s coaches.

The other two unanimous picks were Kassidi Steel of North Mahaska and Megan Stuhr of Sigourney.

Bravettes junior Dylan Holland was chosen to the second team.

Gaining honorable mention were Bravettes seniors Maddy McKeag and Shelby Conger.

L.E. Moore of North Mahaska was Coach of the Year, and the Golen Award went to Janelle Rozendaal of Lynnville-Sully.

The Golden Award goes to a player who was sidelined by injury who otherwise might have competed for one of the player awards.
