Four in the fourth gets another win

The Bravettes erupted for four runs in their half of the fourth inning to take a 5-1 lead, then held on for a 5-4 softball victory over Tri-County at home on Wednesday, June 17.

The victory enable the Bravettes to claim a 3-1 record on the young season.

Freshman pitcher Abby Pope stayed ahead of Tri-County’s batters, as she walked just one and struck out nine in throwing a seven-inning six-hitter.

The Bravettes made the most of just four hits. Chloe Latcham brought in a run with a double. Getting single hits were Kalynn Wanders, Katie Reynolds and Kassidy Mathes.

Reynolds and Mathes each stole a base.

Pope had Tri-County hitters smacking it into the dirt, and Bravette Tia Shaffer threw out four batters from third base.
