CRESTON – Freshman from Montezuma Riley Gatton scored 20 points for the fifth time in nine games in Des Moines Area Community College’s final regular season game Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Southwestern Community College defeated DMACC 81-69.
Gatton’s 20 came on eight-for-20 shooting from the field, including two-for-eight from three point range. She also was two-for-five from the line.
Riley had five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Gatton closed the regular season with an 11.9 points per game average, highest on the squad. She also had four rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest.
