NEW SHARON – Montezuma’s girls golf team joined the boys in advancing through the first round of post-season play by placing second in the Class 1A regional meet on Friday, May 13.
The girls were second of three full competing teams.
Sigourney won with a score of 385. Montezuma was in at 424, and HLV shot 445.
Chloe Hutchcraft of the Bravettes was the fourth best scorer with an 18-hole total of 95.
Aislyn Hutchraft shot 99, Abby Pope was at 103, and Maddy Fleming was at 129.
The girls’ next round will be Wednesday, May 18, at Diamond Trail Golf Club near Sully.
