Girls ‘jamboree’ by outscoring Newton

SULLY – The Montezuma Bravettes went up a couple of enrollment classes for their basketball jamboree experience this season, and it was successful.

Montezuma outscored Newton 36-23 in two halves of basketball at the Lynnville-Sully jamboree on Monday evening, Nov. 15. Jamboree results don’t count as wins or losses on a team’s record.

Newton has a rangy team, but graduated the top two scorers from last season’s 5-16 team.

UP NEXT – The Bravettes open their season on Tuesday, Nov. 23, in a JV/varsity girls doubleheader at Pella Christian.
