Girls pull away from Iowa Valley, 3-1

The varsity Bravettes picked up another big win over an SICL opponent, 3-1 over Iowa Valley on Thursday evening, Sept. 30, at home.

The Bravettes started strong with a 25-17 first set victory. But Iowa Valley edged Montezuma 25-22 in set two to tie the match.

The Bravettes regained control quickly, winning the third and fourth sets by the same score, 25-15, to close out the match.

Iowa Valley, which plays a loaded schedule, came in with an overall record of 7-18. But, the Tigers were at 3-2 in league play.

The win lifted the Bravettes to 11-7 on the season. They are 5-0 in SICL matches.

It has been a very long week for us, and we are ready to battle the longest week of the season yet, next week,” said Bravettes Coach Rylie Little.

The girls have been improving every game and I’m excited to see what we can do in the future,” she said.
