Montezuma squeezed BGM with a tight first half defense on its way to a 72-37 win over the Bears in boys’ varsity action on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at home.
The Braves limited BGM to 11 first half points and led 37-11 at intermission.
Brady Boulton splashed down 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Braves. He also added 7 steals and 6 assists to a strong game.
Garrett Watts scored 17 points (7-of-11 from the floor) and pulled in 6 rebounds.
Kohen Holland scored 9 points, had six rebounds and two assists for Montezuma.
Max Anderson dished 3 assists.
The Braves shot .475 from the field, and limited BGM’s average to .244.
The Braves assisted 15 of their 28 baskets and had 11 steals.
Montezuma also made 10 turnovers, but BGM had 16.
Beau Bridges led the Bears with 11 points. Caleb Fleming scored 10.
Dominic Coleman had 7 rebounds and 5 assists for BGM.
The win lifted the Braves to 2-1.
BGM fell to 0-3.
