Girls ‘serve up’ a win over BGM

BROOKLYN – Montezuma kept its serves in play and wound up with a 3-1 conference volleyball victory over BGM on Thursday evening, Sept. 19.

The Bravettes spotted the Bears a 1-0 set lead in the match. But then, Montezuma’s accurate serving took over.

The Bravettes kept the ball in bounds on 87 of their 88 serves, a .989 percentage, easily their best of the season.

Addyson Probasco led the way, going 29-29 with two of the team’s five aces.

Montezuma outscored BGM 75-26 over the final three sets of the match.

The victory left Montezuma at 9-9 on the season.
