Girls soar to win at Warhawk Relays

NEW SHARON – With 17 girls scoring team points – including six who put up 10 or more – the Bravettes girls track team scored a big win in the Warhawk Coed Relays.

The meet was run Thursday, April 8.

The Bravettes rolled up 153 points, some 40 more than second-place Colfax-Mingo. The field included some SICL schools and one larger school, Pella Christian. “The girls ran a heavy meet and competed well against several conference schools,” said Montezuma Coach Megan Carlson.

Montezuma won eight events.

Katie Reynolds took the 200-meter dash in 28.96 seconds. Ash Krousie won the 400 by almost three seconds in 1:07.11.
