
The Bravettes got off to a great start but were unable to sustain it against GMG on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at home.
Montezuma won the first two sets, but GMG won the next three to take a 3-2 victory.
Montezuma won the first set 25-19 and the second, 25-20, as their passing, setting and hitting clicked.

But things went downhill in a 15-25 third set loss, and remained that way in an 18-25 loss in the fourth set.
Montezuma attacks too often went into the net, or out of bounds during sets three and four.
In the 15-point tie-breaking fifth set, the Bravettes fell behind 4-13 before mounting a charge.
Attacks starting falling in, and the Bravettes closed to 12-14 before the Wolverines scored match point.
The loss dropped Montezuma to 7-11 on the season.
GMG was at 10-11.
SENIOR NIGHT – Montezuma’s two seniors, Kallie Robison and Kalynn Wanders, were honored before the varsity match.
UNDERCLASS WINS – Montezuma’s frosh-soph team beat GMG 3-0, and the junior varsity was a 2-0 winner.
