Montezuma’s softball team will open post-season play with a home game.
The Bravettes will host HLV on Friday, July 1, at 7 p.m.
It will be a “play-in” game, with the winner to travel to Lisbon on Wednesday, July 6, for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
Montezuma is in the upper bracket of Region 6. The bracket below them includes games matching Springville and BGM, and Belle Plaine vs. Iowa Valley.
The lower bracket includes Janesville vs. North Tama, with the winner playing Clarksville. Also, Lynnville-Sully vs. GMG, with that winner taking on BCLUW.
The prize for the Region 6 winner: A trip to the state tournament.
