Montezuma’s softball team needed a win to even its record at .500, and that’s what the Bravettes got when they scored a 10-0 win in five innings over South Tama.
The game was played Tuesday evening, June 6, in Montezuma.
The Bravettes had a 9-1 advantage in hits.
Chloe Snook had two hits and two stolen bases. Madison Van Zee had two hits, a run batted in, and a stolen base.
Ellen Cook had a pair of hits, including a two-run triple.
Kamryn Schmidt had one hit and three runs batted in.
Kallie Robison had one hit and an RBI
Izzy Roorda had one hit, an RBI and a stolen base.
Robison pitched the five-inning distance, yielding just one hit. She walked one and struck out nine.
The victory lifted the Bravettes to 5-5 on the season.
South Tama fell to 0-10.
