GARWIN – Montezuma’s varsity volleyball team won two of five matches in the GMG tournament on Saturday, Sept. 10.
The Bravettes beat Meskwaki 2-0 on scores of 21-8 and 21-7.
Montezuma lost 0-2 to hosting GMG on scores of 21-11 and 21-11.
The Bravettes lost 0-2 to South Tama, on scores of 15-21 and 15-21
Montezuma then came back to beat Collins-Maxwell 2-0 on scores of 21-17 and 21-18.
That put the Bravettes into another match against GMG. Montezuma won a set, but GMG won the match, 2-1.
The 2-3 record for the day left the Bravettes at 6-8 overall on the season.
UP NEXT – Montezuma is at North Mahaska on Monday, Sept. 12. Al three levels will play, starting at 5:30 p.m.
