MONTEZUMA – The GMG volleyball team is relentless on offense and almost air-tight on defenese.
The Wolverines survived a strong effort by the Bravettes to win a 3-1 match on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The victory lifted GMG to 11-3 on the season, while Montezuma fell to 8-9.
Sydnee Burgess and Kylee Larmore had 15 kills each for the Bravettes.
But GMG hit more back than it allowed to hit the floor. And the Wolverines kept swinging.
The Bravettes covered their defensive court pretty well. Lily Ferry had 27 digs, Lauryn Larmore had 24, Addyson Probasco had 20 and Burgess came up with 18.
Olivia Maddux had 22 kills for the Wolverines and Hadlee Hempy had 36 assists.
Montezuma returns to SICL play on Thursday at BGM.
