The 2025 golf season is officially under way, and the roster includes 11 athletes this year.

For the boys, junior Carson Van Der Hart is our only veteran Montezuma Braves golfer.

Juniors Larry Mohr and Beau Young are new to our team this season, although Larry has experience from his time at North Mahaska.

Additionally, we have 4 freshman out this season; Isaiah Wilson, Ethan Desrochers, Landon Wilkerson and Henry Drake.

We are thrilled about what having such a young team, and the growth we expect to see throughout the season as our players gain experience.

The girls team is led by the only junior and veteran Bravette golfer, Claire Erselius. This is Claire’s second year playing for our varsity team. She is joined by freshman Addilyn Ver Meer, Marley Stowell, and Sydney Nicholson. Much like with the boys, we are excited to see the growth our young girls team will experience this season.

After a postponed meet Monday, April 7th due to unfavorable temperatures, both teams competed in their first meet of the season on Thursday, April 10th. The meet was held at our home course, the Montezuma Country Club. The meet was a triangular including Colfax- Mingo and HLV. All 11 of our players were able to compete.

Isaiah was followed closely by juniors Carson VanDerHart (49) and Beau Young (50). Rounding out the boys varsity score was junior Larry Mohr with a 55.
