Golfers shoot well on home course

By Coach Liesl Roorda

Montezuma boys and girls had a low shooting night on the home course Thursday, April 29, as the winds gusted and the greens ran hard and fast.

The girls shot a 226 with sisters Aislyn and Chloe Hutchcraft bringing home medalist and runner up medalist honors respectively.  Aislyn shot a personal best 49 with Chloe at 54.

Jacob Ross also shot a personal low 36 to earn medalist honors and Maguire De Jong in runner up position with a 39.   The varsity boys shot a season low 164.  The Montezuma JV boys shot a 173 followed by English Valley varsity with a 188.

With the post-season rapidly approaching, the boys and girls are setting themselves up for an interesting run looking to consistently put in lower scores as the boys battle for the six varsity spots.
