Here’s Thursday-Friday at Homecoming

Thursday and Friday, Sept. 23-24, are the two busiest days of homecoming, and the Montezuma Student Council wants to remind the public of the schedule.

Braves Night is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the North Gym.

Guest speakers will be Molly Swenson and Marcy James.

After speeches, the coronation of king and queen will take place.

The public is asked to sit in the south bleachers.

On Friday, cheerleaders will lead a pep assembly that will begin at 2:15 in the North Gym.

The queen and king will speak and the dance team will perform.

The public is asked to park in the north lot, because Circle Drive will be used in staging the parade.

The parade will line up and begin around 2:45 p.m.

Elementary students will walk in the parade.

High school teams, the band, some musical characters and the homecoming court will be the featured entries from the secondary school.

The homecoming football against against Southeast Warren kicks off at 7 p.m. at Badger-Gabriel Field.

NOTE: It’s not necessarily homecoming-related, but the Montezuma Blue and White Athletic Booster Club reported this week that they had received their 100th membership of the year.
