HLV scores a 4-3 win over Bravettes

VICTOR – It was another tough defeat for the Bravettes as HLV scored a sixth inning run and made it hold up for a 4-3 win on Wednesday, June 30.

HLV took a 2-0 lead into the fourth inning, when each side scored a run.

The Bravettes tied it at 3-3 with two in the fifth, but then came HLV’s sixth inning run, which turned out to be the winner.

The Warriors out-hit Montezuma 9-4.

Katie Reynolds had a strong all-around game for the Bravettes. She was three-for-four at the plate, and three-for-three on stolen bases.

In addition, Reynolds ran down four fly balls in center field.

Izzy Roorda had a hit and drove in two runs for Montezuma, while Laila Kercheval also had an RBI.

Kallie Robison pitched six innings for Montezuma. All four runs against her were earned, as the Bravettes were guilty of just one error in this game.

Robison walked one and struck out four.

Montezuma fell to 8-18 overall and 4-11 in SICL play.

HLV stood at 8-12 and 6-9.
