‘Hometown Holiday’ offers varied events

Montezuma will be your destination town on Saturday, Dec. 7, when the community hosts its annual “Hometown Holiday” event.

Traditional holiday happenings will spice the day. Various organizations participate, with the Montezuma Community Boosters coordinating events.

Here is the schedule with details:

8 to 10 a.m.
Breakfast with Santa Buffet – at Montezuma Memorial Hall. It’s by donation and includes a breakfast buffet, a treat bag for kids, visits with Mr. and Mrs. Santa, and free cookie decorating.

9:30 a.m. until 12 noon
Cookie Walk at United Methodist Church. Hundreds of cookies and holiday treats are sold, with help in selecting and boxing them up as you go through the lines.

10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Story Time at Montezuma Public Library. Stop in, relax, and enjoy your favorite.

11 a.m. – 12 noon
Sounds of the Season. Enjoy Christmas music performed by local talent at the Montezuma United Methodist Church.

4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Soup Supper at First Presbyterian Evangelical Church, with the Community Bell Choir performing at 4:30 p.m.
