MARENGO – Multiple players hit the scoring column when the junior high ‘B’ boys basketball team beat Iowa Valley 44-12 on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
“We got off to a good start with some good half-court defense, which led to a number of fast break layins,” said Coach Dennis Phelps. “We turned over the ball and left several easy baskets on the floor, but overall this was a strong effort.”
Dane Strong scored 16 points and Rhett Pargeon had 12. Other scoring included Cade Stone 6, Easton Hudnut 4, and Casey DeZwarte, Damien Knox and Linkin Bru, 2 each.
“These young players continue to show great improvement with each game,” Phelps said.
UP NEXT – “Our last game is on Thursday, Feb. 3, at home against Pella Christian,” Phelps said.
