BROOKLYN – Montezuma improved from one half to the next, but dropped a 41-29 8th grade boys ‘B’ game to BGM on Monday, Dec. 6.
“This was the first junior high game for some players,” said Montezuma Coach Dennis Phelps. “We did improve from the first half to the second.”
BGM led 27-12 at halftime. The Braves outscored BGM 17-14 in the second half.
Easton Hudnut led Braves scorers with 9 points. Cade Stone and Rhett Paregon each had 6.
Peyton Tindle scored 4, and Isaac Wedgewood, Blake Smith and Casey DeZwarte each had two.
“I was very proud of the effort during this game and with each practice,” Phelps said.
