The Montezuma Bravettes juniot high ‘B’ team played its final game of the season at Marengo against the Iowa Valley Tigers.
The Bravettes scored the first 18 points to lead 20-1 at the end of the first quarter. Monte held a 32-3 lead at halftime and cruised to a 50-5 win.
Monte shot 24-62 (39%) from the field. Iowa Valley shot 2-22 (9%) from the field. The Bravettes won the battle of the boards 37-27.
Montezuma had 11 turnovers while IV had 39.
Four Bravettes scored double figures. They were led by Vivian Cook who had 14 on 6-8 shooting. Viv also had 7 steals.
Sydnee Burgess contributed 10 points with 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Letisia Wilson had her best game with 10 points, 4 steals and a block. Leah Urfer also had a strong game with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Tegan Barnhart was a stat stuffer. She had 4 points, 13 rebounds, 5 steals and a block. AJ Kercheval had 2 points and 5 steals.
Rylee Wolford had 5 assists and 6 steals. Lauren Daniels had 2 blocks.
The ‘B’ Bravettes finished a strong season with a 6-1 record.
