BELLE PLAINE – The Montezuma Junior High boys track team competed against conference schools and a couple of larger ones, Hudson and North Tama, at the Belle Plaine Invitational on Thursday, April 22.
The Braves didn’t win an event, but were close in several.
Taking second in the 4×200 was the team of Bryson Stockman, Luke Brennan, Damien Knox and Luke Erselius.
The 4×400 also placed second. Runners were Carter Michalek, Brady Boulton, David Rose and Broox Stockman.
Montezuma also took second in the 800 sprint medley and the 1,600 distance medley.
Sprint medley runners were Boulton, Michalek, Rose and Broox Stockman. In the distance medley, the quartet consisted of Michalek, Boulton, Broox Stockman and Rose.
Brett Plants placed third in the 200-meter hurdles, and Boulton was third in the long jump.
