VICTOR – “The girls traveled to Victor on a hot day that allowed all of the cross country girls to be at the volleyball game,” said Montezuma Coach Megan Carlson.
The 8th grade girls won all three sets, while the seventh graders took two out of three on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
“After a few slow starts last week, the girls were ready to get out quickly and not let up,” Carlson said.
8th Grade – 25-13, 25-13, 25-18.
“The eighth graders hustled and played so much better as a team,” Carlson said. “They have so much potential and they just need to keep focused on what they need to do to be successful and not let outside influences impact the outcomes of their matches.”
7th Grade – 25-5, 25-14, 11-25
“The seventh graders had a solid performance that allowed them to easily take the first two sets,” Carlson said. “This group continues to improve and I know that they can do many great things.”
“With the season half over, it is important to focus on working hard and not becoming complacent,” the coach said.
