The 7th grade team keeps improving and it was apparent when Lynville-Sully came to town on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
The girls were able to jump out to a nice lead and did not look back in the first game.
The Hawks had some strong serving that pushed the girls a bit and earlier in the season it probably would have broken them. However, this time the girls were confident and easily got back to work.
This is tremendous to see and I hope that they can continue to work on this in the final game on Thursday.
The 8th grade team faced some tough competition in their first game including 12-18 and 14-20 deficits. But, they worked out of those and were able to come away with a 27-25 win.
This was amazing to see, because the girls did not play safe, but smart and confident.
It is good to have pressure situations to help prepare the girls for the next level and they handled the situations very well. After getting the first game over with, they were able to cruise in the next two and sweep Sully, which is a great feeling!
I am so proud of the girls and how they responded on the night. Both teams had strong showings for the last home game of the season and I confident that they can bring the energy to Brooklyn and finish strong.
