NORTH ENGLISH – Baskets were hard to come by, but Montezuma prevailed over English Valleys, 25-13, in a boys junior varsity basketball game on Friday evening, Jan. 6.
David Rose scored eight points to lead the Braves.
Kohen Holland had five points and seven rebounds.
Alex Black led the way on the boards with nine caroms.
The Braves shot .200 from the field, to .171 by the Bears.
The Braves were guilty of 27 turnovers, to 19 by English Valleys.
Montezuma led 7-4 after one quarter, 18-6 at halftime, and 19-11 after three periods.
