COLFAX – The quickness and shooting ability the Colfax-Mingo varsity boys showed Tuesday night carried over to the Jvs on Thursday, and they came up with a 40-32 victory over the JV Braves.

Colfax-Mingo put up 25 points in the first quarter and shut out Montezuma in the fourth to take the win.

The home team shot .516 from the field, to .316 by Montezuma.

Kohen Holland scored 13 points, including a 4-7 effort from behind the three-point arc, for Montezuma.

Jack Erselius scored seven points and Alex Black had four.

The Braves played without Nik Kotar, who was a prolific producer in some earlier JV victories.
