JV boys get 33-27 win at Sigourney

SIGOURNEY – Montezuma used a 23-15 scoring advantage in the two middle quarters, built a lead, and held on for a 33-27 win over Sigourney in junior varsity boys basketball on Friday, Dec. 16.

Sigourney led 4-1 after one quarter, but then things kicked in for the Braves.

Luke Brennan led Braves scoring with 11 points and he added four steals.

Briar Simpson scored eight points and also ripped down 14 rebounds.

Kohen Holland scored six for Montezuma.

The Braves got themselves to the free throw line, where they sank 15 of 31 attempts.
