JV girls down Alburnett, 35-30

ALBURNETT – The Bravette JV girls used good shooting and defense to secure a tough 35-30 win on the road over Alburnett on Monday, Jan. 23.

Montezuma led 8-2 after one quarter, 20-9 at halftime and 25-16 through three quarters.

Claire Erselius led with nine points, on three-for-three shooting from behind the three-point arc.

Laila Kercheval scored six.

Alivia Cline had five points and six rebounds.

The Bravettes made 32 turnovers (to 16 by Alburnett), but shot. .444 from the field, to .293 by Alburnett.

Each team made 12 field goals, but the Bravettes made eight of theirs from three-point range and built a lead that held up
