Montezuma’s JV girls basketball team got a big win at home on Thursday, Jan. 20, beating rival North Mahaska, 29-20.
Ashlee Eilander led Montezuma scoring with 11 points and also blocked three shots.
The rest of the scoring: Shiressa Wetering 6, Izzy Roorda 6, Alivia Cline 3, Jordan Ranfeld 2, Madison Van Zee 1.
Montezuma had 26 rebounds, led by 10 by Wetering. Roorda pulled down 5.
The team also came up with an even dozen steals.
