JV girls speed away from Tigers, 44-25

The Montezuma Bravettes JV team played Iowa Valley for the second time this season Monday, December 9th, and were 44-25 winners.

The Bravettes battled the Tigers early, taking a 16-11 lead at the end of the first quarter but a strong performance on the defensive side of the ball and added pressure took the Bravettes to a 29-11 halftime lead.

The teams traded baskets in the second half, with Montezuma coming away victorious.

The Bravettes were led in scoring by Kierstyn Price with 11 points, and Korrinn Kehoe added 9 points and 6 rebounds.

Kayleigha Groenendyk made the most of her minutes, coming away with 4 rebounds and some lockdown defense.

UP NEXT – The Bravettes move to 5-0 on the season with games at home against HLV on Tuesday and at BGM on Friday in quad action.
