JV girls take mark to 6-0

The Montezuma JV girls beat HLV 29-11 during a one half of play against the HLV basketball program on Tuesday night, Dec. 10.

The Bravettes came out strong defensively, taking defensive stops and turning nine steals into points on the offensive end,” Coach Kevin Gartman said.

The team knocked down three 3-pointers during the half of basketball, with 13 made shots coming on 6 assists,” said the coach.

The team had a balanced offensive effort with five Bravettes scoring multiple baskets in the half,” Gartman said.

Madison Johannes, Korinn Kehoe and Alyssa Cline each scored six points. Kierstyn Price had five and Kallie Robison scored four points.

Johannes and Price each had three steals, and Cline splahshed down a pair of three-pointers.

UP AND COMING – The JV Bravettes move to 6-0 on the season and face BGM in Brooklyn on Friday night, Dec. 13.
