By Al Rabenold

Kaleb Meek is MHS’s new high school history teacher.  He replaces Lucas Steenhoek who resigned after the first semester in order to join his wife who was offered a job in the medical field in Waterloo.

A native of Bondurant, Mr. Meek graduated from B-F high school in 2010, where he played football, soccer and baseball.  He continued his education after high school, earning his B.A. degree from Upper Iowa University in December of 2019.

Mr. Meek is the proud father of a 5-year-old son who will start kindergarten next fall. In his spare time he enjoys watching football and basketball, and cheering for his favorite teams, the Detroit Lions and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He looks forward to spending time with his family, traveling, playing Xbox and watching movies in his leisure time.

Meek is very happy to be joining the staff here at Montezuma and believes this is a great opportunity for him both personally and professionally. He hopes to educate students about social studies with every student gaining a better understanding of both the past and the present world around them. Meek says he is very happy to be at Montezuma and looks forward to enjoying the rest of the school year.
