David Rose scored 18 points for the Braves, but Keota prevailed 46-33 in a junior varsity boys basketball game on Tuesday evening, Jan. 3, in Montezuma.
Rose went three-for-six from behind the three-point line.
Keota jumped out to a 17-4 lead after one quarter and the Braves couldn’t close the gap.
Briar Simpson scored six points and had four rebounds for Montezuma.
The Braves also got six rebounds from Lars Taylor and three steals from Alex Black.
There was no JV girls game because of low numbers at Keota.
