
Montezuma’s junior varsity boys basketball team kept the ball moving and scored a 44-31 win over HLV in their first game of the season Tuesday night, Nov. 30.
The Braves led 21-17 at halftime, then outscored the Warriors 23-14 in the second half.
Nik Kotar poured in 28 points for the Braves on 12-for-15 shooting from the field. He also had seven rebounds, five steals and four assists.
Four Braves tallied four points each: Carter Michalek, Kohen Holland, Alex Black and Peyton Minner.
David Rose grabbed three rebounds for Montezuma.
