MARENGO – Montezuma rallied in the top of the seventh inning to score a come-from-behind, 4-2 softball win over Iowa Valley on Monday, June 5.
Iowa Valley scored twice in the first inning and took a 2-1 lead into the seventh inning.
Chloe Snook went three-for-four and the plate and drove in a run.
Kallie Robison had one hit, a double, which drove in a run.
Laila Kercheval had a run-producing single.
Ellen Cook drove in a run.
Madison Van Zee went two-for-three at the plate.
Robison pitched a seven-inning complete game for the Bravettes. She allowed four hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out three.
The Bravettes made a modest two errors.
The victory lifted Montezuma to 4-5 on the season.
Iowa Valley fell to 5-5.
