Montezuma’s “Let Freedom Ring” celebration has been called a community-wide block party, and it’s set for its 2021 run on Saturday, July 3.
Organizers this week were still finalizing the schedule of events, which wasn’t complete at press time.
But we know it will have its usual attractions: A parade at 10 a.m., the Montezuma Lions’ Chicken Barbecue at 11, and fireworks over Lake Ponderosa at dusk.
It gets started with a breakfast to benefit Shooting Sports, from 7 to 10 a.m. in the fire station.
The chicken barbecue will be in Montezuma Memorial Hall.
There will be other food vendors at well.
Complete schedules could be posted as the July 3 date nears.
