The planning is done, and exhibitors have reserved 55 tables for the Montezuma Lions Club’s 31st annual Toy and Craft Show, to be held this Saturday, Jan.27 at the school.
But what the Lions need now for the show to be a success is for a large turnout of area citizens to come check out the free show.
It will be held in the Montezuma High School central gym. Show hours have been expanded this year to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – but those attending can stay as little or as long as they choose. One incentive to stay awhile is that despite being free, everyone who attends will be eligible for the periodic drawings for a wide selection of door prizes.
Admission to the show is free because of a sponsorship donation by Lions club member Eddie Pierson’s business, Home Plate Sports Cards, based in Oskaloosa.
The show will include a display and special silent auction of a 165-piece collection of Dale Earnhardt (Jr. and Sr.) memorabilia, which has generated considerable interest.
There will be at least six new vendors according to Chairman Gregory.
Tables are still available for individuals or regular vendors to rent and show and sell or trade their wares or collections. Rent is $20 per table. For more information contact William Gregory at 641-891-8206.
School personnel will be making food available with a varied menu including roast beef sundaes, hotdogs, etc.
