Rose McKee returns from Europe where she has spent four months working and traveling.

Wayne Ehret, Montezuma native and successful girls’ basketball coach at North Mahaska, has resigned his position effective at the end of the school year.

Harold Wheeler and Bob Buzard star in the all-school play “Flowers For Algernon”.

Linda Beyer, MHS ’69, is recognized at a capping ceremony at Marshalltown Community College for dental assistant students.

Kathy Palmer, MHS ’69, has been initiated into Zeta Tau Alpha social sorority at the University of Iowa where she is a freshman majoring in nursing.

Action at Star Lanes included Keith Watts, who bowled a 213 and 209 on his way to 599 series. Jan Hicks had a high game of 281 while Lea Arendt bowled a 572 series.

Don Ferneau, MHS ’68, is a member of the 29-man Central College track squad.

Marvelous Marvin Walker paced Coach Denny Brand’s young track squad to a 4th place finish at the tough Trojan Relays at Pleasantville. Walker was the lone first place finisher for MHS, running the 220 yd. dash in 25.2 seconds.

M. Sgt. Dale A. Cutshall, MHS ’47, received his Master of Arts degree in Library Science at the University of Denver, graduating with an A minus average.

The Union Champs 4H Club met at the home of David Grier. Cary VanKampen and Kelly Bryan gave a talk on “Grooming and Care of Clothing”.
