Twin Cedars was another good win where we got a variety of guys involved. I was pleased with the all-around effort from the whole team, varsity and JV guys. They all played hard and took advantage of their opportunities.

Offensively we did some really nice things with running the football. As we had 7 different guys score a touchdown. Brett Plants, Broox Stockman and Brady Boulton made some very good decisions.

Our offensive line did a nice job of opening up some holes to run. We had a few missed assignments but we will get that fixed going into next game.

Brady was very efficient in his passing and we spread the ball around.

Defensively we played well and flew around to the ball. We had a variety of guys with negative yardage tackles and making plays on the ball in the secondary. I thought we tackled pretty well for the most part. We will need to continue these trends going forward into our next game.

Regarding Gladbrook-Reinbeck

G-R is a very good team that is well-coached. They are disciplined in what they do on both sides of the ball. Offensively they have a very good quarterback who can throw the ball around and run it.

They have very solid line and a bunch of skill guys who can make plays with the ball in their hands.

We will need to be sound defensively in our roles and responsibilities.

In their defense the different position groups complement each other very well. Their front 5 is pretty good. They get off the ball and read and react well. We will need to be physical in the trenches.

Their secondary does a really good job of not letting the big play happen as well as making the big play when the opportunity presents itself.

We will need to be patient with our schemes and be able to sustain drives against them. Overall this game will come down to line play, turnovers and staying disciplined.
