Craig McKee, MHS ’68, began a month of Army orientation training with the 3rd Armored Division in Germany. Cadet McKee is an upperclassman at the U. S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.
Lynn Baustian, MHS ’67, has been named a temporary sergeant while attending gunnery school at Ft. Sill, near Lawton, OK.
Susan Braley wed Keith Cheney at Ewart Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Good announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathy, to Jack Grife, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Grife of Barnes City. Kathy is an MHS graduate, class of ’68. Jack graduated from North Mahaska in 1965.
Wayne Ehret, MHS ’60, received his Master of Arts degree in secondary school administration at Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville, MO.
Edd Bowers, MHS ’39, begins his 11th year as head football coach at Grinnell College. He anticipates a Pioneer squad of 40 with 25 returning lettermen from a 6-3 campaign a year ago.
The Don Halls return from taking daughter Becky Hall, MHS ’69, to the Ozark Bible College in Joplin, MO.
Alan Darland has been chosen to be one of 75 FFA ushers at the Iowa State Fair.
Randy Latcham won three blue ribbons and three red ribbons in individual market lamb competition at the Iowa State Fair.
According to Ron Sheetz, MHS chapter advisor, the FFA livestock judging team competing at the Iowa State Fair will be Randy Latcham, Kevin Osborn, Tom Gregory, and Jim McMahan.
