University of Iowa senior Mariel Bruxvoort earned a fourth-place medal in the 400-meter hurdles at the Big Ten Outdoor Meet May 12-14 in Bloomington, In.
Mariel is the granddaughter of Darrell and Sherma Brand of Montezuma.
Bruxvoort turned in a clocking of 57.33 in the finals, after running at 57.08 in the prelims.
Earlier this season, she clocked 56.71 in this event, which is the fourth-fastest all-time for the Hawkeyes.
Mariel is an accounting major from Grand Rapids, Mi.
