Mariel keeps helping the Hawkeyes

Mariel Bruxvoort, a University of Iowa junior and granddaughter of Darrell and Sherma Brand of Montezuma, had her flying feet involved in the Hawkeye track team’s effort at the Big 10 meet on Sunday, May 15, in Minneapolis.

Bruxvoort was a runner on a 4×400 team that placed second and helped the Hawks to leapfrog Michigan for sixth place in the meet.

Iowa ran a time of 3:33:18, the third-fastest time in program history.

Mariel also placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.74 seconds.
