The United We Fight project in Montezuma netted $2,075 for Michael and Elizabeth DeJong’s facemask project!
The Montezuma Blue and White Athletic Boosters helped to coordinate the project, which involved people purchasing “United We Fight” apparel from Elite Sports, a custom screen printing and embroidery firm in Williamsburg.
Elite Sports donated half the proceeds back to a Montezuma project – in this case, the DeJong’s project to make facemasks for area front line workers in the coronavirus pandemic.
As of this week, the brother and sister team were closing in on 1,000 masks made and donated.
