This was no wildfire, although it looks hauntingly familiar to the photos and videos we’ve seen recently on national news regarding the disastrous fires on Maui.
Al Rabenold took these shots on Saturday, Aug. 26, of a “controlled burn” as the Montezuma Fire Department razed the former county home at the south edge of Montezuma.
