DES MOINES – Montezuma teacher and track coach Megan Carlson was honored Wednesday, March 3, with the Iowa Farm Bureau Sportsmanship Award.
Each of the eight competing schools in the Class 1A state tournament were asked to choose a recipient. They are to “epitomize good sportsmanship and decorum for the entire school and commuity.”
The award included a certificate for Carlson and $250 for the school to be put into its scholarship fund to be used for one or more female students.
