A great group of Montezuma students traveled to Pekin Saturday, Feb. 29, to compete in the District Individual Speech Contest.
All of our students gave wonderful, heart-felt and fun performances.
Some of these were first time performers. Some had written their own material, and some were competing in a speaking contest in English for the first time.
Those receiving 1 ratings will move on to state contest to be held at Grinnell High School on Saturday, March 14.
