Celebrate!
And 38 Montezuma High School graduates did just that after the 138th Commencement Ceremony at the high school on Saturday afternoon, May 15.
A senior slideshow was presented as the audience filed in.
The high school band played the processional, “Pomp and Circumstance.”
Senior Alyssa Cline gave the welcoming message.
Seniors Elise Boulton, Michael De Jong and Brayden Stockman provided student addresses, spaced throughout the program.
High school Principal Tim Hoffman handled recognition for student honors and service.
The high school choir sang, “Homeward Bound,” by Jay Althouse.
Superintendent Nathan Wood presented the graduates, who were presented diplomas by school board member Mrs. Stacie Cameron.
Cole Watts gave the closing message, during which graduation caps went airborne.
The graduates then marched out to the tune of the recessional.
Then it was time to meet outside the gym with families and friends.
