Bravettes senior Mia Boulton has earned more honors – academic as well as athletic – from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
Boulton has been named to the Academic All-State team, as well as to the Class 1A All-District Team.
The academic honor went to 59 players from all classes of Iowa girls basketball.
The all-district honors are for the Southeast District of the Association’s jurisdiction.
Members of the all-district team include:
Boulton: Kennedy Axmer, English Valleys; Sara Burton, Highland; Mary Kate Bendlage, Holy Trinity; Lydia Kriegel, Iowa Valley; Greenlee Smock, Lynnville-Sully, Breckyn Schilling, North Mahaska; Carly Goodwin, Sigourney; Ellah Kissell, WACO; and Bradie Buffington, Winfield-Mt. Union.
Earlier, it was announced that Janel Burgess of the Bravettes was coach of the year for this district, and that Boulton had made the Association’s team of Select seniors for post-season play in April at Kirkwood Community College.
